I can't remember wanting to do anything else but groom dogs since I was about 12 years old! I eventually found a local groomer, Marea Tully, who hired me as a bather while I was still in High School. Eventually she started to train me to groom. I worked for Marea for two years. She moved away and gave me her client files. The rest was up to me! I will be forever grateful to her for that! Marea taught me all the basics of grooming and I have attended many seminars, scissoring workshops and Certification programs thoughout the years. I am certified with the National Dog Groomers Asscociation in Sporting and Non-Sporting breeds. I just need to complete my Terrier the National Certified Master Groomer tests. In 1992 I won the USA/Canadian Novice Groomer of the Year award at a grooming contest and seminar in Canada. Novice meaning I had never competed in a contest before.
